The app uses only what it needs to work. It sets one cookie to keep you signed in and stores a few settings in your browser. It has no advertising or analytics cookies.

Our public website, localpinmeter.com, uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages help. It never uses advertising features. A banner lets you accept or decline, and "Cookie choices" at the bottom of every page changes your answer. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics stays off until you accept.

Our website (localpinmeter.com)

Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics, which sets these cookies only if analytics is on:

NameWhat it doesHow long
_gaTells one visitor from another, with a random IDUp to 2 years
_ga_<ID>Keeps the current visit togetherUp to 2 years

The website also keeps your answer to the banner (lp-consent) in your browser's storage until you clear it. Google keeps Analytics data for 14 months.

Other services on our pages

These load only where they are needed. They follow their own privacy policies.

  • Cloudflare Turnstile, on sign-up and public forms. It checks that you're a person, using signals from your browser.
  • MapTiler, on maps. Your browser fetches map images from MapTiler, which sees your IP address and the map area.
  • Stripe, on checkout and billing pages. Stripe sets its own cookies there to process payments and prevent fraud.
  • Google, only while you connect a Google account for Business Profile posts. You sign in on Google's own pages.

Agencies' lead pages

An agency's free-scan page can load the agency's own Google Tag Manager to measure its ads. An agency can also embed the page on its own website. In both cases:

  • The agency decides what those tags do and is responsible for asking visitors' consent where the law requires.
  • Local Pinmeter loads no tags of its own on those pages.

Changing your choices

You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie, you can't sign in.
